A female student is in custody after six students and two staff members were stabbed at Dunbarton High School in Pickering, Ont., early Tuesday morning, according to Durham Regional Police.

One of the victims has serious injuries, but none of the victims injuries are considered life-threatening, police say.

Officers were called to the school around 8:30 a.m. (ET) for reports of a stabbing inside the school. Upon arrival police arrested a girl who two staff members had wrestled to the floor.
